Verdicchio export +2,4%

Verdicchio export has increased twice as much compared to the Italian wine export numbers.
This is the outcome of a survey conducted by Nomisma – Wine Monitor ( http://www.winemonitor.it/en/ ) for the Istituto Marchigiano di Tutela Vini (IMT). The results have been shown at the past Vinitaly 2015.

In 2014 Verdicchio export has increased by 2,9% compared to the 2013 data , while the national exportation increased only by 1,4%.

Both bottled Verdicchio from Matelica and Castelli di Jesi together had a 2014 turnover of around 38 Million Euro divided in: 52% from the internal market and 48% from exportation.

Verdicchio exportation quote for the different main countries are as follow:
USA 22%, Belgium and NL 20%, Germany 17%, UK 8% and China 6%.
